Whiskey Kitchen: A Must-Try Dining Experience in Mt Dora, FL

We were tired and hungry and went for a late night dinner on Saturday evening. We arrived at 9pm and were surprised that it appeared empty. We were greeted by the bartender and manager who told us that the dining room was closed, but we could still order from the kitchen and eat at the bar. We decided to go somewhere else and turned to leave - the manager said he'd be happy to seat us, and he did. The bartender, Spencer, took our order, and was very sweet. We knew they made an exception for us, and they treated us as royalty when they did. We had only gone to this place sporadically in the past, but we decided we're going to go more regularly there. This establishment obviously cares about its customers! We have visitors coming in March, and we'll take them there. By the way, their peach salad is delicious -- order it with dressing on the side.

We came in for lunch today, all the staff was very friendly. We sat at the bar with Alisha, she was absolutely fantastic, food was served promptly and my burger was cooked perfectly. Definitely recommend the smoked old fashion!

Whiskey Kitchen did not disappoint. Our server Sea was exceptional, the food was excellent, portions are ample and the quality is great. Highly recommend if your looking for a good bite with a family friendly atmosphere. The facility was very clean as well.

Had breakfast this morning. Great eggs and sausage patty, the bacon could have been crisper, the oatmeal was the shocker. The fruit on it was plentiful and sweet. Lovely outside area, service was a bit slow, but good.

The food was delicious! Edwin was our server and he was so delightful. He was super helpful with suggestions and was alway checking in. Great conversation as well It was a wonderful experience and we will make sure to be back again!

My mother visited first time from Key West and we celebrated my birthday and being together! The waitress Sea was friendly and smiling! Great service and learned she's also the bar manager and said she loved working there..which is good to hear.They have live music on weekends which that night was a couple.the ambiance was pleasant and I loved everything we ordered especially the orange old fashioned drink which I didn't think I was going to like since I'm a Jack Daniel's lady I loved it! Admired the extensive whisky list..very detailed selection.Tried the daily homemade bacon jam and devoured it.my mother and I enjoyed a lovely dinner visit and we highly recommend you check it out!

I was so happy to see the portion size actually reflects the cost. Every dish my table ordered was a great size. Their sausage gravy on the biscuits were very flavorful. Its hard to find a good sausage gravy. Everything we ate was well flavored. The rye bread was incredible on the reuben. The veggie omelet wasn't runny, and was loaded with fully cooked veggies. Good amount of variations as well. Its a small tight fit in their. They offer high tops, bar seating, tables, & booths. It gets very noisy. They clearly know this due to the sound buffers on the ceiling. They decor is cute and bathrooms very nice. There's not much room for a wheelchair though. The service was very quick and concise. Nice staff who made us feel appreciated. So glad we stumbled across this spot!

Loved everything about this place; the service, atmosphere and food were all excellent! I had the reuben sandwich, and it was so delicious! Probably the best one I've ever had! Hubby had the shrimp and smoked gouda quesadillas. So good! The portions are big, so you may want to share with a friend.
